Knock Out!

Okay...so I like the fights. I found this picture on the internet of a fight night I attended here in Denver (work function.) Have you ever heard the sound of a full on belly flop? That's what it sounded like when the stiff guy on the mat got kicked in the head. Eventually he was okay...I heard he is out of fighting and now tests toys for lead based paint. Click on the picture for a closer look.

POWER-TOBER

These days people love to replace the OC in October with variations of other words. For example, we just experience a dismal ROCK-tober as the Rockies got swept by the Red Sox. I heard a car ad the other day announcing CASH-tober...that makes no sense at all. And best of all, one of those loud dirt bike ads that echos everything brought us our first MOTO-tober. MOTO-tober? MOTO doesn't even rhyme with OC...this is beyond me...but it there can be a MOTO-tober surely there can be a POWER-tober! All you need to create your own POWER-tober is a pumpkin and a power drill.

Post-a-Punchline

Those of us with a superior sense of humor have no have need for the full joke...just post the punchline. Keep it clean! Here are a few to start:
  • ...and the captain said, "bring me my brown pants."
  • "Pardon me sir but may I ask what the chicken did?"
  • You'd think the second one would have noticed.
  • Asphalt makes me sick.
  • because seven eight nine.

Front Yard Addition

We did a little work in the front yard this weekend...

We got a bit of snow on Saturday night and Sunday morning...five inches or so. The girls and I set out to build and igloo...but had to stop just short at "snow fort." Too bad they didn't get a roof...they could have used it!

Mile Higher Baseball

Okay...I realize to most people baseball in Colorado has about as much appeal as a tongue depressor. I don't expect very many to know what is going on out here, but trust me...it's worth a look. These guys can flat out play and they are making history while they do. Julie and I were able to attend Monday nights game and witnessed the first ever seven game playoff winning streak to get into the World Series. Our seats were a few rows above the mile high mark and the game was played well below it. The 34 degree weather staved off the nose bleeds! We had a great time.

It begins!!

What's the current word for hip? In? Down? Well, whatever it is...I almost wasn't. I mean it's October of 2007 and I've just created my first blog.

My baby cousin Allison, who is too young to have kids of her own but has lots of them, has her own blog.

My even younger cousin Scott, who probably doesn't remember that Jeff and I once convinced him that an athletic cup could also be used as an oxygen mask, also has a blog.

So, here we go... the True Family Blog is up and running. I'll get some family pictures and updates from the girls posted soon.

I hope you enjoy...please chime in!
